Understanding the Public Services Industry: How big, how good, where next?

Public Services Industry Review, July 2008

The final report of a review on outsourcing public services commissioned by the UK Government. It was the first attempt to consider the sector as a whole, and to assess its strengths and vulnerabilities using the evidence available at the time. It concluded with 8 recommendations to support its future growth and success in providing high quality public services and good value for the tax payer.
